Keeping safe with Covid-19
I am able to offer tele-health sessions to ensure that our sessions are not interrupted by pandemic protections such as lockdown. Tele-health can be conducted via telephone call or Google Meet.

Safe practice
I hold full membership with the NZCCA (New Zealand Christian Counselling Association) and abide by their Code of Ethics. Safe practice is important to me. I receive regular supervision and training to ensure that I meet the requirements in the Code of Ethics, and so that I know I am practicing in the best way to meet my clients’ needs.
Confidentiality:
Confidentiality means that clients' personal information will not be shared outside the counselling agency unless the client consents to particular information being disclosed. It is intended to protect clients who are sharing personal information as part of their counselling experience. This protection is essential for trust to exist between clients and counsellor. This means that I will not discuss clients' concerns or progress with family members without prior consent from the client. My supplier (if ACC funded) will not respond to requests for information about whether a person is a client or has attended an appointment.

- The NZCCA Code of Ethics requires that I pass on information if I believe a client or other person is in serious and imminent danger. Wherever possible, this will be discussed carefully with the client and with a supervisor before any action is taken.
- Some client information may be shared in the confidential bounds of supervision in order to develop and improve counselling performance and to ensure that I am practicing safely with my clients.
Cancellation policy
If for any reason I have to cancel a session I will aim to provide you with 48 hours notice, and you will not be charged for the session. When possible I will try to offer you an alternative time. Likewise I will expect you to give me 24 hours notice if you are unable to attend a session. I reserve the right to charge for the full session if insufficient notice is given. In the event of a serious accident, emergency, or other similar situation outside your control, please deal with your situation first and notify me at the earliest convenient time, or I will follow up with you typically within 24-48 hours of the missed appointment. If a client misses more than two consecutive sessions without prior arrangement, counselling will be put on hold until you are able to attend regularly.
If you are seeing me via sensitive claims, ACC generously covers 5x 'Did not attend' sessions each year, after which I will charge for missed sessions at the same rate ACC provides.
When clients miss more than two consecutive sessions, another session will not be provided unless we have made contact to arrange this.

Payment
If you are not funded via other means, I accept cash and bank transfer.
Clients who haven't paid 24-hours prior to appointments will need to reschedule. If unable to pay for session prior to the commencement of the session, an agreement may be entered in to in regards to payment.
If payment is not received for the previous session, further sessions will not be made until payment is complete. This is to stop clients getting behind in payments and increasing personal debt.
